Retail Voice Management Solution

Oculeus RVM is a complete solution enabling service providers to offer retail voice telephony services to their subscribers.

It is a full featured platform including switching with advanced functionality and streamlined business processes for managing customers, products, tariffs, rating and billing, including anti-fraud controls to identify and block fraudulent telecommunications traffic in real-time.

Architecture

Oculeus RVM consists of the following system elements:

  • End-customer management
  • Telephony communication unit
  • Billing platform
  • Real-time fraud protection
  • Interconnect management system

End-Customer Management

Oculeus RVM integrates through APIs with existing systems, such as external CRM platforms and existing billing systems, and manages operational requirements, including customer rate plans, numbers, devices, billing, and more via its central management system.

Customer management includes an end-customer home page, allowing customers to view and review all essential information regarding their telephony services and accounts.

Telephony Communication Unit

The real-time Telephony Communication Unit is the core of Oculeus RVM and enables the optimal management of all aspects of modern customer-centric voice telephony. The unit connects all customer devices via the SBCs/Media Gateway with the telephony network. This allows for integrated processing of data in real time, enabling comprehensive customer-centric voice-telephony management, billing, fraud protection, reporting and more.

Billing Platform

Oculeus RVM is set up to interact with other system and network elements in order to deliver real-time billing. This allows the system to collect and evaluate all calls against the customer rate plans and provides the output for instant review in the end-customer homepages and central management system. Customers and service providers see the same information at the same time, allowing for optimal customer service.

Real-Time Fraud Protection

The fraud protection delivered in Oculeus RVM is provided by Oculeus-AFS, which is able to determine within 10-100 milliseconds if specific calls are fraudulent and need to be blocked. With its special focus on SIP account and end-customer protection and its architecture based on artificial intelligence combined with machine learning, Oculeus-AFS contributes to Oculeus RVM ensuring secure and stable telephony services.

Interconnect Management System

Oculeus RVM also includes a light version of the Captura NG system, allowing for the efficient handling of all interconnect aspects related to the connected telecoms operations, including optimal pricing, routing management, and interconnect invoice verification.

Technology

Oculeus RVM comes with APIs and interfaces allowing it to integrate with existing systems and processes. All parts of the system run on Linux and, as such, require Linux servers only. Oculeus RVM does not require any separate database license. Existing Class V SBC/Media Gateways can be integrated, although they must be 100% SIP compatible.
